It's The Turkey Bowl!!!

About 200 teens participated last year!!!

 

Who: All Trek and Journey (if you are not currently using the Awana material for your Jr & Sr High material, you are still invited to come because your church has Awana!).Sixth graders are invited to come also (helps introduce your youth ministry for next year)!  Competition will be Jr high VS Jr High and Sr High VS Sr High!

 

What: In teams of six, the teens will play the goofiest, craziest, weirdest, wettest, and messiest games around!

 

Where: Grace Chapel Community Church in Westerville, has graciously opened their facility for the day.  Their address is 7798 Big Walnut Road Westerville, OH  43081.

 

When: Saturday, October 2nd!  the schedule is as follows:

            Registration                              8:30 - 9:30 AM

            Opening Ceremony                    9:30 - 9:50 AM

            Morning Games                         10:00 - 11:50 AM

            Lunch/ Devotional                     12:00 - 1:00 PM

            Afternoon Games                      1:15 PM - 3:15 PM

            Munchies & Awards                   3:20 - 4:00 PM

 

Why: Teens need to hear about Jesus Christ.a clear gospel message will be presented to the teens midway through the day.the Turkey Bowl gives this opportunity while having a lot of fun during the day.

Bring a COMPLETE change of clothing.it could get very wet and/or messy!!!
Games are the craziest, goofiest ever.relays, food games, and much more!!!
 
Cost: $10.00 per person.

Can "last minute" teens come?

YES.the more the better!!!

 

Are the adult workers really needed?

YES.there are various positions that need to be filled throughout the day.

 

As a leader/adult coming with the teens, will I have to do anything?

Not really.only those who will be workers for us will be required to do anything.  Your responsibility is to cheer on and encourage your teens!  Oh, be sure to bring that camera!  You will want that for highlights!

 

Our kids are not very athletic.how will they do?

Athleticism has no advantage whatsoever in The Turkey Bowl.

 

What is for lunch?

Pizza, pizza, and more pizza.and then a snack to go home with!
